Firstly, I did some more to the car reflection painting. You wont see a lot of difference- mostly just some hightening of colour intensity.
I may leave this now. I dont want to go for a higher level of photo realism. It needs to look like a sketch.
Last night I felt like attacking a large sheet of cartridge paper with charcoal. This was done very fast, with little sense of purpose or direction, and it looks like some of the terrible stuff I did years ago. Maybe I can do something with it???
It was done with broad sweeps and rubbed in with a tissue. Maybe.
Two years ago I joined a U3A group called "Urban Sketchers". I only went 3 times because of a clash. Thinking about it, and hearing that some of you were drawing in each others gardens, it seems that this is now a way forward. Why don't some of you go to a park or some place of interest and draw? It is allowed and can be safe.
