Not the range today. I have spent more time developing one picture than I have recently. Here are three more stages of the painting of poppy seed heads.
I have been adding more layers of Titanium white with yellow, Cadmium red and Pthalo blue. At this next stage I was worried that there was insufficient colour. Too white, too cold.
I think the next stage is the final one. I have added washes of orange and red. A bit more resolution has been made using a smaller brush with blue and blue/ red mixture. I think I have got the impact I was looking for, and the suggestion of the sinister, open mouthed broken seed heads. Natural form offers images of psychological power as well as prettiness.
By accident my dish of seed heads was put in sunlight that was partly altered by a blue glass vase.The following photos result.

They look like broken up bones and skulls. Definitely creepy
