I start with this strange pastel drawing. Where did it come from?

The work started with this photo of a crumpled drape-

Tones and colours were altered

and it was turned through 90 degrees. Then colours were changed.

Turned again-

Colours and aspect altered again, producing the image that I drew from-

Here is the pastel again.

I have taken many photos around the home. This one involves a self portrait.

Enhancing the colour and lightening the shadows-

I did this pastel study from the above

Further experiments on the computer lead to more extreme abstraction

And this-

I like images that emerge without edges from a sea of coloured dots. I wonder if a Pointillist painting or a collage may be possible ????
