I've not "blogged" for a couple of days, though I have done a bit of painting and some THINKING.
I have been meaning to create a list of definitions of ART. I am increasingly aware that this contentious word encompasses a wide range of intentions, drives, philosophies etc. So much so that one artist can seem to be the polar opposite of another.
Anyway, I am collecting quotes and will drop them into this blog from time to time.
Here is one I like to get started-

This sentiment ties in with comments I often make when teaching in my battle against caution and timidity.
