Monday, August 3. Progress with perspective abstract and “fun with faces”

The painting that was abandoned 2 years ago has been moved forward with a simplified tonal interpretation of the box like forms.

Two of the 3 main tones for the shapes have been added. I have to decide whether the remaining planes are light,dark or medium. And what about the background?

I did many such paintings 15 or more years ago. They are all inventions with 3-point perspective where the 3 points are arbitrarily chosen.

And this one-

On a different tack , I have been collecting together self portraits done over the last 50+ years. I have put 8 together into one image.

When this is put in Photoscape they can be mixed and overlaid using the clone brush to select an area and move it to another place

In the first ones I tried to put the bits of face in roughly the right place on the selected face

In the next one I used the 2 three-quarter views and moved the positions around.

It is a quick way to get some strange Cubist designs!
